For outdoor applications that require a directional wide spread antenna this is a good choice. This antenna has a beam width of 90 degrees at 8 degrees elevation. As with the 10dBi omni and the 12dBi SPP, we have deployed lots of these devices and the quality is excellent. Take your time to install these correctly and they will give you years of good service.
The antenna comes with a comprehensive galvanised bracket that allows you to mount it to a pole of up to 5cm and direct it exactly where you need coverage. When aligning the antenna us a laser pen to see where you are pointing it, as when you are up a ladder looking down its hard to judge the angle you are installing it at!
We recommend using HDF/LMR400 cable. Don’t go for the 200 grade cable. 400 cables are a swine to make, so if you need some, just give us a call on 0845 838 5340 and we can make the cable up to your exact specification.
