Zyxel P660HW Wireless Router

This is a brilliant WiFi Router. The ubiquitous P-660H router now with WiFi built in. Zyxel’s site states over 12 awards for this router and considering its price it is a very good deal indeed!
We like this router because of its ease of use, features and performance. It is one of the most stable products we have tested. A couple of years ago the ADSL router market cited the Draytek as the best of the bunch. We now know different. Highly recommended!

Zyxel P-660HW series is an all-in-one affordable router, compatible with high-speed ADSL, ADSL2 and ADSL2+ interfaces over existing copper lines. With speed up to 12Mbps (ADSL2) or 24Mbps (ADSL2+), the P-660HW series offers higher data transfer rates and better bandwidth than traditional ADSL gateways. It also supports RE ADSL (Reach-Extended ADSL) for higher speed and longer distance. With excellent performance and upward compatibility, the P-660HW series is great as the bridge between today's communications needs and tomorrow's converged services.

Robust Firewall Security
The ICSA-certified ZyNOS operating system ensures state-of-art firewall performance and robust security from the P-660HW series. Based on Stateful Packet Inspection, DoS (Denial of Service) and DDoS features, it provides the first line defence against hackers, network intruders, and other harmful threats.

Media Bandwidth Management
The P-660HW series enables network administrators to allocate network resources and to guarantee Quality of Service (QoS). The MBM (Media Bandwidth Management) function prioritizes media services, and increases productivity and efficiency in daily operations by tailoring a system to specific demands such as VoIP, video streaming, video-conferencing or MP3 applications.

The P-660HW series are compliant with the 802.11g wireless standard which allows data transmission speeds reach up to 54Mbps. Certain models support Zyxel Wireless g+ SuperSpeed Technology, that makes the Zyxel P-660HW series boost the wireless connection speed between router and wireless clients to an astounding *125Mbps, as opposed to the standard 54Mbps speed of 802.11g and 11Mbps of 802.11b.
