The RepeatIT Hotspot Booster allows for distances between client and access point of several kilometres. This should be compared to ordinary USB dongles that only admit distances of 10 – 100 metres. The installation procedure is very simple: connect the USB cable to the computer, run the installation pro¬gram and the user is online.
By using advanced antenna technology and an integrated solution for the electronics in an outdoor proof casing, the excellent radio performance is achieved. This also eliminates all possible problems caused by pigtails and other accesso¬ries. The distance between the Booster and computer can be increased by the use of active USB extenders.
Since all electronics and the antenna is integrated in one casing, all that remains to be handled by the user is one unit to place either indoor or outdoor. The SU2410-USB has been designed for easy installation. The attached antenna holder can be used to mount the an¬tenna on an antenna pole (TV antenna, for example). The SU2410-USB is fully compatible with other IEEE802.11b/g standard WiFi-products.
